Voting took place Oct. 19, with delays at more than 100 polling stations pushing results to between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday. The final question on separation was Question 10, with the first nine covering immigration and constitutional reforms. Former Premier Jason Kenney estimated total turnout would exceed 70%. The Alberta NDP criticized the referendum as costing more than $130 million. Results for the separation question are expected in the early hours of Tuesday.
