The AskNews platform Alerts
Turn recurring research into a workflow
Describe what to watch, choose when to check and send the result where you work. AskNews Alerts supports condition-based notifications and recurring research reports.
Scheduled monitoring and reporting, with delivery you configure.

Delivery integrations require configuration
Stop starting the same research from scratch
Use Alerts for questions you need to revisit. Set a cron schedule and configure the sources, criteria and delivery. AskNews can check for a described event or generate a report at each scheduled run.
Watch the whole corpus, not a keyword list
Describe what matters in natural language and Alerts evaluates it against licensed news, the open web, X and Wikipedia at each scheduled run. Because the criteria are described rather than enumerated, a check can catch a development you would not have known to write a keyword for. Choose repeat notifications or an alert that disables after its first trigger.
Scheduled research, not just a notification
Attach a DeepNews report to a run and each delivery arrives as a researched briefing with citations rather than a list of links. Set a topic and instructions for a recurring brief, or attach the report to a conditional alert so it is written only when the condition is met.
What you can automate
- Checks for a defined company, industry or policy development.
- A recurring research briefing on a topic your team follows.
- A webhook notification that passes a result to your own workflow.
What your workflow receives
- Conditional notifications, scheduled reports or reports attached to a triggered alert.
- Delivery through email, webhook, Resend Broadcast or Google Docs, according to your configuration.
- Alert logs to inspect checks, reasoning and generated reports.
MCP, CLI and SDK quickstart
Configure once, review as your needs change
Create and manage Alerts through the API, the SDKs or the CLI, or configure them in the WebUI Alerts workspace. Delivery integrations need setup: Resend uses your API key and audience, Google Docs your service account. Checks run on your schedule rather than as a continuous push feed.
Prefer to try it in the browser first?
The WebUI runs the same capability without an integration, so you can judge the output before you write any code.
Put your next recurring research task on a schedule. Put your next recurring newsletter on a schedule. Put your next recurring monitor sweep on a schedule. Put your next recurring risk briefing on a schedule
Start with a clear condition or report brief, then choose how the result should reach you.
