South Korea's October 2026 exports surged 93.7% to $115.28 billion, the sharpest increase in over 50 years, pushing cumulative 2026 exports past $930 billion. The $1 trillion annual export milestone is now projected for November, which would make South Korea the fourth country ever to reach that mark. Semiconductor exports drove the surge, rising 259.4% to $56.44 billion. President Lee Jae-myung publicly acknowledged the milestone.
