Infuse Your Agent with AskNews
Your assistant gets live, licensed news as a tool: search, research and citations it can check. For Claude it takes one URL and a sign-in.
Claude: web, desktop and mobile
https://mcp.asknews.app- 1In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then choose Add custom connector.
- 2Paste the server URL.
- 3Select Add, then Connect, and sign in with your AskNews account.
Connectors follow your Claude account, so adding it once puts it on the web, the desktop app and your phone.
Claude Code
Add the server, then authenticate in the browser.
claude mcp add --transport http asknews https://mcp.asknews.appThen run /mcp and choose Authenticate.
Then ask it something
With the connector on, ask about a talk you just watched and check the sources it cites.
- Use AskNews to research what changed in EU AI regulation this month.
- Search the news for the latest on agentic AI in production, with sources.
Other clients
- ChatGPT
- Works through Developer mode, under Apps & Connectors, then Advanced settings. MCP support in ChatGPT is in beta, so expect a few more steps than in Claude.
- HuggingFace Chat
- Uses an X-API-Key header instead of a sign-in. Create a key under API credentials in your AskNews account settings.
- Claude Team and Enterprise
- An Owner has to enable the connector for the workspace first. If that is not you, get in touch and we will send what your admin needs.
