Proxy Poll
The Proxy Poll is a sentiment analysis of the latest news articles related to the candidates and parties involved in the 2024 US election. The poll is updated hourly with the latest news articles mentioning any of the candidates or parties.
Each article is analyzed for sentiment towards the identified candidates and parties, giving +1 for positive sentiment, 0 for neutral sentiment, and -1 for negative sentiment. The results are aggregated as 'total positive', 'total negative', 'total volume' (total number of articles mentioning the candidate or party), and 'total sentiment' (total positive minus total negative).
The pull-over on the left hand side of the Proxy Poll page lets you see the reasoning behind the sentiment analysis for each candidate and party mentioned in an article.
